Give me a crocodile backpack and make it snappy! What’s that? Oh, it’s 39 grand? Cut it out. Cut. It. Out.

How Mark Kate and Ashley Olsen manage to keep straight faces I know not. Do you remember their preteen line for Walmart? Apparently they don’t either but I do and I can tell you that t-shirts were $12. Now their line The Row, sold at Barney’s, offers tanks for $225. They’ve come a long way baby and I think they may have bumped their pretty little heads somewhere along the road to riches because they seem to be suffering from delusions of grandeur. Only the Olsen twins would dream of designing such an unaffordable bag because only an Olsen twin could afford one.

And while I’m superficial enough to covet their Matrix style overcoat, which would cost me a mortgage payment (seriously), I draw the line at a backpack that costs the same as a car, and a decent car at that.

These realistically priced alternatives will let you rock out with your croc out.

Reese Witherspoon is what I refer to as an “Ivory Soap Girl.” I think my mother actually coined this term for those rosy-cheeked, squeaky clean, eternally fresh looking women (i.e. Kate Bosworth, Gabrielle Union, Selena Gomez).
