New Year’s Giveaway: Free faux fur hat

fauxfurhat

Fellow fashionistas:

Go Faux in 2010!

Follow the fashionable footsteps of celebs like Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron and ditch anything dead in your closet. Better yet, donate your fur items to your local women’s shelter where warm jackets and accessories are always needed. Your used furs will be put to good use without contributing to the industry.

Seriously, there are tons of fab cruelty-free alternatives that are equally as puffy, fluffy and fuzzy as the real thing so there’s no need to swaddle yourself in stinky skins. (Puffy, fluffy and fuzzy will thank you for it.)

Whew, it’s hard to stand on that soapbox while wearing heels…

The goods:

I’ll start one lucky reader off on the right track with this FREE faux fur hat that’s sure to become a staple of your winter wardrobe.

The rules:

WE HAVE A WINNER! Congrats, Melissa M. And thanks for going faux!

Good luck, ladies (and gents).

P.S. If you’d like to learn more about fur farms, click here. Beware, just like real fur, what you’ll see ain’t pretty, but it’s guaranteed to make you a more compassionate consumer.

I have been wanting to do this fashion resolution for a long time: to only buy used clothes, but if I buy new clothes, they have to be environmentally and socially friendly! It’s a hard action to take, but I’ve been trying and perhaps I will try a lot harder this coming year :o )

I love animals and it’s sad to see people are wearing real fur. It’s great you are helping people become aware of faux fur. I hope I win this contest :) ! I joined your mailing list. Keep up the good work
